Do you like to peep? 

What if you are offered to look into the keyhole of the mysterious Wardrobe, which keeps people's secrets and personal stories?

But what if, while spying on others, it suddenly turns out that you watched yourself? What will you feel, if you look inside your own secrets, fears, revelations, memories and unfulfilled dreams, while watching what is happening on the stage?

 Please consider: "The Wardrobe is not what it seems ..." 

The legendary Ukrainian physical theatre "Freedom" has recently turned 20 years old and it would be difficult to fit its entire biography even within the largest of all existing books.

But the last decade of their incredible creative path was managed to be placed in ... "The Wardrobe"!

"The Wardrobe" is something more than a dance performance.

It conceals the whole Universe of the director Olena Kolyadenko and her irreplaceable dance and theatre family. “The Wardrobe” conceals, yet to be each time opened up on stage with a discouraging confession in front of the audience in the intricacies of light, music and dance. 

“The Wardrobe” has become the quintessence of the creative worldview of the Freedom dance theatre. “The Wardrobe” will be opened for you as a “live museum” of personal stories.

About the performance:

There is only yourself, 15 dancers and their poignant stories.

The characters on the stage remain themselves, but the degree of their honesty rolls over. Carefully! This provokes you to be honest in return. 

In the language of perfect plasticity of the body, the artists reflect on the nature of time and space, on the blurred outlines of Love and Passion. The viewer can only Feel ... everything else will fade into the background.

Director Olena Kolyadenko turns the study of such a simple object as a wardrobe into an existential journey through the labyrinths of the human Soul. The best thing that “The Wardrobe” could do with us was to open its bottomless mirror, and allow the viewer to almost accidentally look and see himself…

This is the only way to possibly change either a personality,  or the world ...

So open “The Wardrobe” and come in! … if you are not afraid of your reflection. 

Atmosphere 

The Wardrobe is a complete action with an intriguing beginning and a gripping ending, where each performance leads the viewer up the emotional ladder of life. To fully immerse yourself in the Wardrobe, there should be the chamber atmosphere of the theater, in which the spectator will devote himself completely to the art and look into the wardrobe of his own revelations. 

The performance is for an adult audience, for people who have life experience behind them and is created for walking on the edge of pure human emotions: joy, sadness, fear, disappointment, admiration ....

The performance contains scenes of immersive work with the audience, drawing the audience into the plot of the Wardrobe, as well as the interaction of artists directly with viewers.
